Job Introduction
The Bradford Virtual School for children in care is dedicated to improving educational outcomes for children looked after and those previously looked after. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personal Education Plan Support Officers to work, as part of the Virtual School, with schools and other professionals to ensure all children in care have ambitions and high-quality Personal Education Plans in place.
We are looking for a skilled, committed, and efficient Business Support Officer to support the implementation of processes which will improve the way in which Personal Education Plans are completed in Bradford. We are highly ambitious for all our Children in care and seek to improve their educational aspirations and outcomes at every opportunity.
Ideally you would have at least 3 years’ experience in an administrative and business support role and have worked previously in an education or care related field. You would be competent in the use of a range of complex IT packages and be able to demonstrate proficiency in administration and business support skills. You would be able to work flexibly as part of the Virtual School to accommodate the needs of the service as required.
As part of the Virtual School for children in care you would work closely with multi-professional networks to ensure barriers to learning and progress are overcome. In return you will be joining Bradford at an exciting time and will have the opportunity to work as part of a successful team to drive forward change and improvement for children and young people.
Candidates will need to demonstrate:
- Understanding and commitment to raising standards and outcomes for children in care and those previously in care
- Experience of multi-agency working and understanding of the needs of vulnerable groups
- Excellent administrative and Business support knowledge and skills
