Job Introduction
The Parks and Street Cleansing Service is a district wide service. Parks teams manage and maintain parks and green spaces, including six green flag parks. The Street Cleansing Service manages on street litterpicking, fly tipping, litterbins and graffiti removal.
We are looking for a Performance and Service Improvement Officer to join our dedicated team in the Parks and Street Cleansing Service. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city.
The main responsibilities of this role:
- Assess and monitor performance by means of site visits in the working environment against local and national performance indicators, ensuring that we comply with legislation.
- Provide statistical information on service performance
- To assist in the development and completion of risk assessments and procedures to cover all working practices
- Identify training needs analysis of staff and establish and review systems for auditing work, undertaking audits of work, in accordance with procedures
- To be involved in training, recruitment and meeting processes to support the service Manager
- Educated to relevant NVQ Level 3 and / or demonstrable experience to operate at this level in a Waste Management environment.
- A driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use and be prepared to travel to sites around the district.
The successful candidate will be someone who is highly motivated, enthusiastic, confident and able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels (including with external agencies such as Environment Agency etc).
