Job Introduction

Passenger Transport Service is seeking to recruit 1 x Transport Supervisors for the core PTS service.  This service is part of the overall Travel Assistance Service (which works with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver the Council’s policy on travel assistance).  The post of Transport Supervisor supports the provision of passenger transport for both children and adults using the Council’s fleet of minibuses.  The service transports over 700 vulnerable passengers each day around the district. 

Role Description

We are looking for a Transport Supervisors to join our dedicated team in the Passenger Transport Service. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city. 

 The main responsibilities of this role:

  • Support the PTS Operations Management team in providing that safe and cost efficient transport service, to both home to school and day care services
  • The Supervision and first line management of c140 staff, comprising of both Drivers and Passenger Escorts.
  • To ensure that the team deliver a cost efficient and quality, high standard and safe service that meets the needs of our clients.
